Ultrasound
With ultrasound we look directly into muscle, tendon, ligament and joint. That way we see what is going on instead of having to guess. This gives an accurate diagnosis and a treatment plan that fits.

When
What does it help with?
- Uncertainty about the cause of an injury
- Tendon and muscle injuries, such as a tear or swelling
- Shoulder complaints, such as calcific tendinitis or tendon damage
- Monitoring your recovery during rehabilitation
- Deciding whether shockwave or another treatment is suitable
How we work
What to expect
Conversation
You tell us what's going on. We decide which area to examine.
Ultrasound
Using a probe and some gel, we create live images. It is painless and takes a few minutes.
Explanation
You watch the screen with us and we explain what we see.
Plan
Based on the images, we draw up your treatment plan.
Questions
Good to know
Is ultrasound safe?
Yes. Ultrasound uses sound waves and no radiation.
Does this replace an MRI?
Not always. For many muscle and tendon complaints, ultrasound provides enough information. If further examination is needed, we refer you.
Do I need a referral?
Usually not: you can book an appointment directly. For long-term treatment, such as rehabilitation after surgery, a referral is required.
Is it reimbursed?
If you have supplementary insurance, the treatment is reimbursed, depending on your package. For certain chronic conditions, the basic insurance pays from the 21st treatment, with a referral. Read more under rates.
Ready to recover?
Send a WhatsApp message describing your complaint. You can usually come in within 24 hours.
